Steven Universe OST - Dropbox Download!
Hey everyone! About a year ago someone right here on this subreddit was looking for the official soundtrack for the show, to which I had! Now getting a few people asking me to provide the link once again I thought I would share it with all of you!
If I missed any songs or anything feel free to tell me so I can add it to the collection. I'm thinking about keeping this dropbox updated as well when new songs become available off of aivi and surasshus soundcloud.

So I recently rewatched StevenBomb4 with my cousin and I STILL shiver watching the argument scene in 'It Could've Been Great'. The amount of tension there was so strong it could break my bones and the look on the gems faces while Peridot belittled their entire purpose was scary to watch.
It seemed as if Peridot was going to betray them. I mean, she insulted Rose Quartz and wanted Earth to be colonized! Of course, we learn later on she wanted to make a compromise with Yellow Diamond and not COMPLETELY destroy the planet, but I believe she came up with that solution AFTER the argument with the gems.
So, why, after all this time with our heroes, would Peridot still think Yellow Diamond was right?? Well, I came up with a theory that might answer that:
During the argument with the gems, Peridot comments on how if Rose had never stopped the colonization, stronger gems would've been made and Homeworld's empire would grown tremendously. I'd like to focus on when she talked about the making of stronger gems. Before she mentioned that, Peridot was ecstatic about the Earth shown on the hologram, but when the gems denied the morality of it, she was calm, although confused. Right when she brought up the 'gems that would've been made', THEN she started sounding angry.

Now, why would this be? The idea that the gems would halt the colonization COMPLETELY to protect the Earth and render the production worth of gems on Homeworld possibly struck a nerve within her. The thought of the existence of better, more capable gems not being able to be made because of the CGs upset her. Why? We already might know:
Peridot has expressed before that because of resources lacking on her home planet, gems are made less efficiently and with less powers. Being that Homeworld has probably already sucked their colonies' planets dry, they NEEDED Earth and it's valuable resources to make gems similar to Ruby, Sapphire, Pearl, Amethyst, Jasper, Lapis, Bismuth, Rose, etc. BECAUSE Earth is unavailable, and BECAUSE its resources can't be harnessed by the Diamonds, the Era 2 gems of Homeworld are practically useless to them without their limb enhancers and technological reinforcements. Now, where do we know an Era 2 gem that's been affected by this chain of events?
That's right. Peridot.
Wondering why this is so important? The gems, even people who watched the show, believed Peridot's reasoning behind being against the Rebellion was Homeworld's brainwashing and ideologies. They thought she didn't have a real reason to be enraged at the outcome of the Gem War. But she ACTUALLY had a VALID and INDEPENDENTLY FORMED reason! Peridot has expressed to us clearly that she hates how she seemingly had no powers of her own, and thought the technology Homeworld gave her was all she was. She was ANGRY that the gems ruined the chance for Homeworld to make more powerful peridots for the second era, and if it weren't for them, SHE would've been one of those peridots! When you realize this, you actually feel BAD for her during that argument scene, and not just for the gems!
This proves that in that moment, in that scene, no one was right or wrong. Both sides had reasons to be angry and reasons to believe what they believed. And, when you go back and watch 'It Could've Been a Great' after 'Too Short To Ride', you'll see it from a whole new perspective. And that, my friends, is my theory on Peridot's feelings in 'It Could've Been Great'
